Glad you reached out to us, @userdanquaah-yd.

I can share some insights on how to resolve incorrect inventory quantity. First, you need to review the quantity on hand to count your entire inventory and compare it to the figures you see on the purchase order.

Follow these steps in your QBO account:

  1. Click on the Reports menu.
  2. Look for the Inventory Valuation Detail report.
  3. Update the Report period by selecting All dates.
  4. Press Run report.

The report should show the actual quantity left. If it does not coincide with the PO quantity, try opening your account in a private window. Unexpected issues in QuickBooks are sometimes affected by the amount of data stored in the cache. This is because the regular browser will constantly overwrite itself and will not remove history unless done manually.

The incognito mode will not save any history, so it's a great place to identify issues in the browser. Use these keyboard shortcuts to launch a new private window:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: press Command Shift N

If it works fine in the private browser, clearing the cache will help resolve the problem in regular browsing.
