When adding a new account in QuickBooks Online, you’ll need to log out then log back in to refresh your list. Then you can use the Search or Filter option in the Chart of Accounts page to locate it.
If it still doesn’t show up, you can perform some troubleshooting steps to get this resolved. Missing accounts is sometimes caused by the browser-related issue.
You can start accessing your QBO account in a private or incognito window for testing. Refer to these key shortcuts for quick navigation:
Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
Safari 11 or newer: ⌘ + Shift + N
Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
You’ll want to get back to your main browser and clear the cache once works. You can also utilize other supported browsers as an alternative.
