Question

Why is the invoice numbering system on the QuickBooks mobile app totally different to the invoice numbering system on my QuickBooks online system? Should be identical.

    It could be that the app's local memory has fallen out of sync with the main cloud system, or a sequence setting needs to be nudged on the web version.

     

    Let's clear out any temporary glitches and get your mobile app back on track with the correct invoice sequence. To do this, we can give the app's memory a quick refresh.

     

    If you are using an Android device, open the QuickBooks app, navigate to Menu > More Options > Settings > Refresh Data, and select YES to confirm.

     

    For an iOS device, go to your device's main Settings > General > iPhone Storage > QuickBooks Online, and select Offload App

     

    Once done, please restart your phone and check if the invoice numbers  match your computer. If the issue persists, you can uninstall and reinstall the app to completely reset its connection to the cloud.
