Hello May, welcome to the Community!

The error "Select a date that's after the date you started tracking this inventory item" means the date on your Sales Invoice must be after the inventory starting date or as of date you set for that item in QuickBooks Online.

Now, If the date on your invoice must remain exactly as it is, you can adjust the item's tracking date.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the ⚙ Gear Icon in the top-right corner.
  2. Under Lists, select Products and Services.
  3. Find the inventory item on your invoice and click Edit.
  4. Find the Quantity on hand section and click the Starting value link.
  5. Change the As of date to a date that is on or before your invoice date.
  6. Click Save to confirm the new tracking date.
  7. Return to your sales invoice and Save and close it.
