We'll need to exclude the transaction and upload it manually using a CSV file to assign it to the correct date, Marie.

Once a bank transaction is downloaded into QuickBooks Online (QBO), the transaction dates cannot be edited because they are pulled directly from your bank statement.

Since it has incorrect dates, we can resolve this issue by excluding the bank transaction.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Transactions, then select Bank transactions.
  2. Choose a transaction in the For Review tab.
  3. Choose the checkbox of the transactions to exclude.
  4. Click Exclude.

Next, create a transaction in your Excel file and manually upload it using the correct CSV format. Additionally, ensure to save the file as a CSV.

To upload, follow the steps below:

  1. Click the Link account dropdown, then choose Upload from file.
  2. Choose the saved CSV file and click on Continue.

  3. Select an account from the QuickBooks Account dropdown, then click the Continue button.
  4. Enter the exact date from the Date Format dropdown and click Continue.
  5. Choose the transaction by clicking the Tick Boxes and click on Continue.
  6. Wait for the system to complete the importing process and click Done.
