If I link a bank account with QB today, will it take the online feed of transactions from today onwards or will it also take the feed for past transactions?

Yes, it will. Some banks let you download the last 90 days of transactions. Others can go back as far as 24 months.

In addition, when you connect your bank to QuickBooks Online (QBO) through Online Banking (also known as Bank Feeds), the system automatically downloads and categorises bank and credit card transactions for you.
