If I'm on trial for 30 days, why quickbooks requires me to subscribe first before moving forward with the recurring transactions?

 The option to create recurring transactions is only available on QuickBooks Essentials, Plus, and Advanced. Thus, this behavior may happen if you're subscribed or used the Simple Start version of QuickBooks.

To get started, I recommend verifying the version you had. I'm here to guide you how.

1. Go to the Gear icon, then click on Account and Settings under Your Company.
2. Click on Billing & Subscription at the left pane.
3. Look for the version of QuickBooks you had.

Keep in mind, once you are ready to use QBO, make sure to click the Buy button to get the discounted price for up to 3 months. If you purchase from the Trial account, you have to pay the regular rate.
