The most common reason these balances don’t appear is the reporting basis setting. If your Balance Sheet is set to Cash, figures for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable won’t show up because they represent money that hasn't actually changed hands yet. Simply switching the accounting method to Accrual can bring those numbers right back.

You’ll also want to double-check your report dates. If all of your outstanding invoices and bills were fully paid off before the date range you’re currently viewing, the balance will naturally appear empty. Changing the report period to All Dates is a quick way to see if those amounts populate.
