Usually, you can either use the 3-column or the 4-column format for your file. The 3 column format consists of your transaction's date, description, and amount. On the other hand, the 4 column includes the date, description, credit, and debit columns.

Importing bank data in QuickBooks is a breeze, @charles17.
When importing bank transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO), you need to make sure that the CSV file matches the format of the transactions inside the program. For the date format, you can either select mm/dd/yyyy or dd/mm/yyyy. For more info, check out this link: Format CSV files in Excel to get bank transactions into QuickBooks.
Once ready, you can now import your bank transactions to QBO:
Go to the Banking/Transaction menu.
Click Upload transactions.
Select Browse and then select the file you downloaded from your bank. Then click Next.
From the QuickBooks account dropdown, choose the account you want to upload the transactions into. Then select Next.
Follow the onscreen steps to match the columns on the file with the correct fields in QuickBooks. Then click Next
Select the transactions you would like to import. Then select Next.
