Hello ritens,

Yes, you can edit the account's name through your Chart of Accounts. Before that, you might want to know what accounts can and cannot be edited, deleted, or merged: Manage Default and Special Accounts in your Chart of Accounts.

Here's how to edit the account's name:

  1. Click Accounting on the left menu and select the Chart of Accounts tab.
  2. Look for the Shareholder's Equity account.
  3. Click the drop-down menu next to Account history.
  4. Select Edit and change the Name.
  5. Click Save and Close.

After changing the account's name, you can run the Balance Sheet report again. The changes will reflect to any of the reports automatically.

You can do the same thing to the other accounts. Keep in mind about the default and special accounts, too.
