It sounds like it might actually be browser based on your description. If you have 3rd Party cookies blocked in your settings this will cause the Employee tab to not load.
Depending on your browser, follow the steps below to unblock 3rd Party Cookies:
For Google Chrome:
Select the three vertical dots in the top right hand corner
Select Settings then Advance
Under Privacy and Security select Content Settings
Select Cookies andTurn off Block third-party cookies
For Safari:
Select the Gear Icon in the top right hand corner
Select Preferences then Privacy
Next, to Block Cookies tick Never
For Firefox:
Select the 3 Vertical lines in the top right hand corner
Select Options thenPrivacy & Security
Underneath History select the drop-down next to Firefox will
Select Use custom settings for history
Tick Accept cookies from websites, Next to Accept third-party cookies selectAlways
Once you have unblocked third-party cookies, return to your QuickBooks file. Log out, then log back in. The Employee tab should now load.
