I'll guide you with entering opening balances, Lea-major1.

 

Entering an opening balance when setting up an account is the easiest time to record. Here's how:

  1. Click Accounting, then go to Chart of Accounts.
  2. Select New.
  3. Choose the Account Type and Detail Type.
  4. Enter a desired name.
  5. Add the opening balance in the Balance field, then select the date in the as of field.
  6. Click Save and close

If the account already existed, you can enter an opening balance by creating a journal entry.
