Depending on your subscription, there is a certain limit to the allowed users in the program. If you want multiple people working on the company file, check out the following user limit per QuickBooks Online subscription. This will help you decide if you need to upgrade your service or not. 

• Simple Start - 1 billable user + 1 accountant user
• Essentials - 3 billable users + 1 accountant user
• Plus - 25 billable users + 1 accountant user
