Let us share some information on how to prevent invoicing when there is no stock available in QuickBooks Online (QBO), Naz.
The option to stop creating invoices when there is no stock available is unavailable in QBO. However, we can set up a reorder point that will help you notify when you're running out of stock. This feature is available in QBO Plus and Advance. Here's how:
Go to the Gear icon on the top menu and select Products & services.
Find the product you want to have a reorder point.
Click Edit ✎ in the Action column.
In the Reorder point field, add the threshold when you should reorder more stock.
Press Save and close.
Once done, verify the stock items that are low or out of stock by following the steps below:
Go to the Gear icon and select Products & services.
At the top, you’ll quickly see if you have any stock items that are running low or out of stock.
Choose Low stock or Out of stock to see those items.
