Thank you for posting your concern in the Community page, celar0620. Currently, QuickBooks Online South Africa doesn’t have an option to download a sample Journal Entry CSV file. However, you can create one yourself using Excel and convert it as a CSV file.

When creating your file, make sure to include the following column headers in this exact order:

  • Date
  • Reference Number
  • Journal Code
  • Account Description
  • Debit
  • Credit
  • Name
  • VAT, Location, and Class (if applicable).

Once your CSV file is ready, import it into Journal Entry page. If you see a message saying "Unrecognized column headers," click Okay, continue. Then, select Map to dropdown to select a customer and then click Done. Review the data to ensure everything has been uploaded correctly.

Please don't hesitate to leave us a response if you have other questions or concerns.
