When doing a quote I get an error that says sales tax missing. How can I resolve it?

When doing a quote, if you select Exclusive of Tax or Inclusive of Tax, QuickBooks requires you to input the VAT amount. These options assume that the transaction involves VAT, so leaving the VAT field blank will trigger the error message.

However, if the transaction is not taxable or doesn’t need VAT applied, you can choose Out of Scope of Tax instead.
