Hello there, Mark. The mismatch of business details error when linking your account to HMRC usually means the business information in QuickBooks doesn't exactly match what HMRC has on file. Please check that your business details, such as your name, address, VAT number, and accounting period, are accurately reflected in QuickBooks.

To fix this, follow the steps below:

  1. Check your start date: Ensure the start date for the first return is the day before the tax period begins.
  2. Go to Edit VAT/ITSA Settings.
  3. Turn off MTD, file any previous periods, then reconnect QuickBooks to HMRC using the correct MTD credentials.

For further troubleshooting, refer to the article: Fix MTD issues and errors in QuickBooks Online. If the problem persists, please contact our Live Support team for a thorough review of your account.
