QBO records the exact exchange rate used for each transaction at the time it was recorded, TimBW.

Currently, we're unable to provide a master list of daily rates for all currencies spanning an entire historical period. However, you can easily run a report containing all the exchange rates used in your transactions.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Reports menu and type in Transaction Detail by Account in the Search bar.
  2. Click Columns in the upper-right-hand corner of the report.
  3. Type in "Exchange rate" and "Currency" in the Search bar, then check the boxes before them.

This will give you a spreadsheet that will contain a line-by-line list of your transactions, including the date, the home currency amount, and the exact exchange rate used for each entry.

Then, click the Export icon beside Save as, and then choose if you want to export the report to Excel, Google Sheets, PDF, or as a CSV file.
