Yes, you absolutely can by creating bank rules. Here's how to set it up so those purchases get automatically categorised:

    1. Go to All apps, and then under Accounting, select Rules.
    2. Click the New rule option.
    3. Give it a rule name.
    4. Set Apply this to transactions that are to Money out.
    5. Under conditions, choose to match by Bank text and Contains, then type the transaction description exactly as you see it on the Pending tab.
    6. Choose Assign, then set the Transaction type to Expense and the Category to Purchases.
    7. Enable the Auto-add option so that any transactions on the Pending tab that meet the conditions are automatically categorised.
    8. Hit Save when you're finished.

Once set up, any new transaction from the merchant that matches the bank rule will automatically be categorised under Purchases.
