Thank you for visiting the QuickBooks Community and for providing detailed information about your concern, Stonana. Based on the screenshot you've provided, it seems you're using the QuickBooks Desktop version. With this, I'm here to share troubleshooting steps to ensure you can open your company file without an error.
The error codes: (-6000, -301) happened when QuickBooks Desktop tried to access the company file. This can be caused by any of the following below:
One or more of the QuickBooks Desktop Support Files are damaged. These files are the Transaction Log (TLG) file, the Network Descriptor (ND) file, and the Data Source Name (DSN) file
The company file is damaged
Encryption software is installed
To resolve the issue, I recommend updating QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release. This is to keep your software up-to-date so you always have the latest features and fixes.
Here's how:
Close your company files and QuickBooks. Then, open the Windows Start menu.
Choose QuickBooks Desktop and right-click the icon. Then, select Run as administrator.
Go to the Help menu and select Update QuickBooks Desktop while on the No Company Open screen.
Go to the Options tab. Then, select Mark All and click Save.
Go to the Update Now tab and select the Reset Update checkbox.
Please let me know if you have additional questions about the steps above or anything else about the opening company file. I'll be more than happy to help. Take care always.
