does anyone know why the cursor ( pointer ) is now disappearing when moving over the column's in invoices etc. ? its making it very frustrating

To see if that’s the case, try logging in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account in a private or incognito window. This gives you a fresh start without any old saved files interfering.
