Hello @LMATANDU, I'll share details about file restoration.
QuickBooks desk is used to activate your desktop software after a new installation. It contains your product information starting with the license numbers.
We can repair QuickBooks if this isn't the first time to use the software on your desktop or if you haven't made a product update. I'll show you how.
On the QuickBooks Tool app, select Program Problems.
Click Quick Fix my Program.
But if the steps above didn't make any changes with the issue currently raised, let's continue our troubleshooting steps by following the steps below:
Close QuickBooks.
Go to Start.
Select Control Panel.
Under Program and Features, select Uninstall a Program.
From the list of applications, select QuickBooks.
Select Uninstall/Change.
Click Repair.
Once done, restart your desktop first before working again with QuickBooks. Then, right-click on the QuickBooks icon on your Desktop, select Run as Administrator, and restore your file accordingly.
Don't hesitate to post a comment below if you have other questions or concerns with restoring QuickBooks data. I'm always around happy to help. Take care and stay safe!
