How do you raise an invoice from your phone when you can't see the tax option?

In QuickBooks Sole Trader, the tax option is not available because your account is currently set up as non-taxable. You can still create and send invoices successfully without selecting a tax rate.

If you need to include tax on a specific invoice, you would currently have to calculate the amount manually and include it in the total. You can then add a note in the Memo field to specify the tax breakdown for your customer.

However, if you want to automatically apply and track taxes on every invoice, you might consider upgrading to QuickBooks Online. That version includes dedicated tax management features that handle the calculations for you.
