It was a ridiculously cheap Black Friday Deal so perhaps Intuit have only given me a demo version but it is difficult to say. Anyway I would like to crete my own chart of accounts but that does not seem possible from the options i see on screen. The AI assistant keeps answering the wrong questions with links to "deeplink" that don't work!

Hi, timobru. I can see how important it is to have the setup align with your business needs. Let me clarify this for you.

QuickBooks Sole Trader is designed for individual freelancers and optimized for simplicity. However, this version does not support creating your own expense categories or setting up a Chart of Accounts, which are available in other QuickBooks plans, such as QuickBooks Online.

The system uses predefined categories aligned with the HMRC tax system, ensuring accurate expense tracking and straightforward tax filing.
