Welcome to the Community, @jc-tcbconner.

Once an account like your Director's Loan Account is created, the currency cannot be changed directly.

To make this change, you'll need to first enable the Multicurrency feature and then recreate the account in Euro (EUR).

Here's how to enable:

  1. Go to Gear icon and choose Account and settings.
  2. Select Advanced.
  3. In the Currency section, click Edit.
  4. From the Home Currency dropdown, select your currency.
  5. Enable the Multicurrency switch and confirm that you understand that you can't undo this option.
  6. Hit Save, then Done.

After activating the multicurrency feature, you can recreate the account in Euro. Here's how:

  1. Navigate to the Accounting menu and go to your Chart of Accounts.
  2. Click New to set up the account.
  3. In the Account Type field, select the appropriate account type.
  4. For the Detail Type field, choose the most relevant category.
  5. Enter the name for the account, for example, “Director’s Loan".
  6. From the Currency dropdown menu, select Euro (EUR).

       7. Click Save and Close to finalize the account setup.
