I have recently become a VAT registered sole trader, I need to move over to Simple Start. Can I move all my data from Self employed to Simple Start?

I am here to help you provide ways to migrate your data from QBSE to QuickBooks Simple start.

As of this moment, there is no direct way to migrate the data to QuickBooks Simple start. However, you have other ways you can perform to transmit information from the Self-Employed (QBSE) version.

You can either download the data via CSV and manually import or use third-party applications to help you with the process. Integrated software like Transaction Pro and Excel Importer will help you import them into QuickBooks Online.

I would recommend to use QBO Essential instead. You may need to purge your QBO account later. Then you can downgrade to QBO Simple Start anytime as long as the multicurrency feature is not enabled.
