Where would I see what the Qbooks balance was for a certain past date ie 30th April? Thanks

To see the balance in Quickbooks for a certain past date is -

If you go to the account tab left-hand side>chart of accounts>account history>on the account you want to see the balance on. There is a filter on left-hand side, which you can filter to what you need to see such as the date range.
