Fixing app crashes when sending an invoice

This is almost always resolved with a few standard troubleshooting steps.

  1. Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data to rule out a connection issue.
  2. Close the app completely, then reopen it.
  3. Restart your device.
  4. Uninstall and reinstall the QuickBooks mobile app.
  5. Check the App Store or Google Play Store for updates and install the latest version.
  6. Update your device's operating system to the latest version.

If the app still won't send after trying these, sign in to QuickBooks Online through a web browser instead. You can create and send the same invoice there while you sort out the app.

We can perform some troubleshooting to isolate the issue by refreshing your QuickBooks app to successfully send an invoice, rodemptionpestsolutions.

First, I would like to confirm which specific app you are using. Is it a mobile app or a desktop app? Did the app close with an error message? Any additional information would be greatly appreciated.

In the meantime, Let's refresh your app to clear the cache and improve performance.

If you're using the QBO desktop app, here's what you'll need to do:

  1. Navigate to the Help menu.
  2. Select Reset App Data.
  3. Once done, close and re-open the app.

If you're using the mobile app, you'll want to clear the mobile app's data. This way, you can access the app with a clean slate and proceed to manage your transaction receipts.

For Android users, here's how:

  1. On your phone, go to Settings.
  2. Select the QuickBooks Online application.
  3. Click the Refresh Data, and then choose Yes.

For iOS users, these are the steps:

  1. Select the Menu icon at the top right.
  2. Then, choose Help & Feedback
  3. Next, click Refresh Data and Refresh

After completing that, try accessing your account and send an invoice. If the problem continues, consider uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Also, make sure you are using the latest version.

It’s a bug on the IOS app.

Instead of clicking the SEND button (which just causes the app to appear to quit), go into the invoice, tap the 3 dots top right and select email. You can then send as normal.

Quickbooks are aware of the bug and it’s in their list to be fixed.

You may also see a popup (also a bug which Quickbooks are aware of) saying:

Invoice needs approval

The changes made to invoice needs an internal approval before it can be sent to the customer

You can ignore this message as the invoice is sent.
