Question

Formatting in the description field is not retained after saving. Indentation is removed and text aligns left. Is this a known issue or is there a fix?

Hi Team, I have noticed an issue with the formatting in the description field when preparing quotes and invoices. When I structure the content using spacing and indentation for readability, the formatting appears correctly while editing. However, once saved, all indentation is removed and the text is automatically aligned to the left. This makes the document harder to read, especially when listing detailed scopes with multiple levels. This behaviour did not occur previously, so I am unsure if there has been a recent update affecting the text editor. Could you please confirm: Whether this is a known issue, and If there is any recommended way to retain indentation or structured formatting in the description field? I would appreciate your guidance on this. Kind regards, Romi

Hello there. I see exactly what you are talking about with the description field. This happens because the system cleans up extra spaces to ensure the text fits on screens, which is why your indentations are being removed.

Since this didn't happen before, the fix is to switch back to the old invoice layout if you still have this option. Open an invoice you’ve created, then click Old layout > Switch to old layout. Select a reason (or type your own) and click Share feedback to return to the previous layout.

If this option isn't available, I suggest sharing your request by submitting feedback directly to the product engineers by going to the Gear icon> Feedback. Enter your request, then click Submit request. This will help alert developers to the demand for this feature.
