I am a Quickbook Advisor using my Quickbook Online Accountant and my monthly subscription is paid. However, I believe to add my firm's own Quickbooks online subscription at no cost by using my Pro Advisor benefits. How can I change this paid online account to free. I have gone through to subscription and billing but can't find that option.

As a QuickBooks ProAdvisor, your QuickBooks Online Accountant (QBOA) firm receives a completely free QuickBooks Online (QBO) subscription for your own internal bookkeeping.

Since this free benefit is built directly into your QBOA dashboard under the Your Books section on your left-hand menu, it isn't managed through the standard Subscription & Billing page. Because you're paying a monthly fee, a separate QBO subscription was accidentally created for your firm instead of using the free Your Books file. Unfortunately, this can't be directly converted into a free ProAdvisor firm subscription.

To fix this and stop the monthly billing, you'll need to manually transfer your data. After that, switch to the free Your Books section and import the Excel files. You can either enter your opening balances manually or use a third-party migration app from the QuickBooks App Store to help transfer your historical transactional data.

Once you've verified that your information is safely inside Your Books, you can officially cancel the paid standalone subscription.

Please reply directly to this message if you would like step-by-step guidance on exporting and importing your lists.

You can purchase a 3rd party service to migrate data to your firm's account in QBO Accountant.
