how do you add a new line to an invoice that has already been opened

You can edit your invoice anytime by going to your Invoices under the Sales & Get Paid section in your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. As long as the invoice has not yet been paid or closed, you can add another line item.

Here's how:

1. Go to All Apps.
2. Select Sales, then click Invoices.
3. Locate the invoice you want to edit.
4. Click View/Edit to open it.
5. On the invoice page, add a new line item by selecting a product or service.
6. Save your changes by clicking Save and close.

Since the invoice total will change, it's best to let your customer know and resend the updated invoice to them.
