Question

Is anyone else finding the app is becoming too complicated and what used to take two steps to pay an invoice now takes me five steps. And what’s up with alphabet order?

We completely hear you and understand how frustrating it is when a workflow you know by heart suddenly takes more steps.

What you are experiencing is due to the New Invoicing interface. QuickBooks transitioned to this layout, which fundamentally changed how fields are entered and how drop-down lists behave on your invoice and payment screens.

Regarding the alphabetical ordering, the drop-down menus default to a rigid alphabetical structure rather than pulling up your most recent or most frequently used selections. This restructure is designed to prevent the page from lagging and freezing, especially for accounts with large lists of customers and products.
