In other accounting packages OI've use in the past I could create messages for my users that would alert them within different modules i.e perhaps on a SKU when someone enters it on an order I could create a message that pops up and says: Don't forget to ask the client what size they need or I could make it so that when an invoice is created the user gets a message pop up for a particular client that says: don't forget to send Canadian invoices to this address but send their US invoices to this other address you get the idea. I've looked but can't find anything. Help?
In my business we buy our book of business from the corporation I work for on a 10 year loan. I get paid buy the corporation through commissions. What I need to pay for the loan comes directly out of the commissions I receive. How do I enter the loan payment so that it is still an expense but part of the deposit? And how do I then have it it reduce the amount of the long term liability? ( and should it even be entered initially as a liability)Here is an example: My commissions for the month lets say are 20,000. My loan payment is 2,000. So my deposit is 18,000. My statement for the commission will show 20,000 commissions and the 2000 loan payment as a negative and deposit is 18,000.

Why does my sales tax keep disappearing from my invoices?
I am interested in using spreadsheet sync for internal reporting on budget vs actuals but am wondering if it's possible to filter by fields such as customer or class. When I run the report, I only see the option to filter by date and account but no other filtering options. It would be very useful to have additional filter options.
We are a union Electrical contractor. We work for different contractors on each job. Some jobs we receive a stab amount from the union for hours worked on the job monthly.We progress bill the contractor for work completed on the job each month. We separately bill the union for the stab amount each month. Same job but 2 parts billed to separate customers.How can we track the revenue from both on the tracking reports for the job?
I get calls 2-3x a week on my cell phone and at my office from scammers claiming to be calling from Intuit. They call from a variety of numbers, but recently the numbers are all out of California. The message is similar though. It's a person with a heavy middle eastern accent and it goes something like this: "Hi. This is Daniel. I'm calling from Intuit Quickbooks as we are getting a constant alert that Quickbooks is not receiving all the latest update and upgrade and it's not synchronizing with our servers which can cause data damage or corruption to your company file. The one time I accepted the phone call because they said they were with Intuit, they wanted to remote in to my computer using logmein, which I wouldn't allow. Why are revenues and expenses not importing on my chart of accounts?
I created a fixed asset account for a camera and entered the purchase price when asked in the account setup, now the amount shows in the account, but I haven't recorded the expense of buying the camera. How can I correct this so it doesn't duplicate the cost of the camera?

I cannot access anything because the activation process just keeps looping . What have I done wrong and how do I correct this?
TD bankfeed is updating and working fine.However, when I am in the reconcile screen and click on view statements, no statements are downloaded. I click the "Update" icon on the bank statement screen and nothing is downloaded.I have tried incognito / clearing cache etc., but have not gotten any statements since Nov 5/23
The final paycheque to an employee hasn't arrived after a few weeks (mailed). I plan to cancel the cheques with the bank and then need to re-issue it. I'm not sure of the best way to do this other than change the cheque number and print again. I plan to just eTransfer the money. Perhaps I'm best to just cancel with the bank but leave everything in QB alone and when I reconcile the eTransfer just note it was for that cheque?

I am seeking guidance on how to set up Revenue Budgets and Cost Budgets so Revenue/COGS is calculated utilizing Percentage of Completion Accounting. Would love to run a dashboard that has Rev Budget/Cost Budget/Project to Date Revenue/Project to Date Cost/Cost Budget Remaining etc.? Thanks.
