After the recent update all my products were categorised as Flat Rate. I cannot find where to change them to Products. Not in the app and not in the online Web version.

I understand that there have been some recent changes in QuickBooks Online (QBO) regarding how products and services are categorized.

QuickBooks currently does not provide the option to change an item’s type directly from Flat Rate to Product or Service. As a result, items originally categorized as Flat Rate cannot be modified to be classified as Products.

As a workaround, you can create a new item and select Product as the type, then manually enter the details from the old Flat Rate item.

Here's how to do it:

1. Go to All apps, then Sales & Get Paid.
2. Select Products & Services.
3. Choose Non-inventory or Service.
4. Enter a Name for the product or service and an SKU if you track them.
5. From the Category dropdown, select the category that best describes your item.
