API: How can I query vendors by tax ID?

Hi all,

I have an OCR scanning bills received from vendors and I would like to automatically create the corresponding bill in Quickbooks.

To do this, I extract the most unique info that I know of: the tax ID (I'm in Europe).

The problem is that the API won't let me search by tax ID, and I can't download a list of vendors without the taxID being obfuscated.

When I write a query, I get the following message:

Invalid query (QueryValidationError: property 'TaxIdentifier' is not queryable

How can I make my scenario work? Any workaround?

I'm glad to assist you in connecting with the top support team for guidance on how to query your vendors using their tax ID, Sebolipipi.

We have a dedicated forum designed to assist you with API-related questions. You can connect there with highly skilled developers to resolve this matter. It's a great platform to seek guidance and collaborate with experts in the field.

Here's how to interact with our Intuit Developer support:

  1. Go to the Intuit Developer page.
  2. Choose your QuickBooks version under What do you need help with?.
  3. Click Ask a Question.
  4. Log into your existing Intuit Developer Account.
  5. Enter your concern.
  6. Click Ask.

I'll include these references to gain a better understanding of how to track bills, manage payments, and review the total amount paid to a supplier over the year:
