Hello there, Sabrina.

Let me share some information regarding generating a report with an outstanding VAT amount in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

To begin, could you please clarify which specific report you are trying to access? Any additional information you can provide can help us resolve your concern effectively. However, please note that all aged debtors reports are unavailable to include an option to display VAT amounts for Ireland. Only the UK region has the option of  Outstanding VAT column.

However, we can generate the Tax Liability report to display the VAT amounts, which can be run on a cash basis. Please follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to the Reports section, and search for Tax Liability Report.
  2. Specify the desired date range and select Cash basis as the Accounting method in the filter settings.
  3. Click on any amount within the report to drill down into the corresponding transaction details.

  4. Under in the Transaction Report, select Customise, then click on Filter.
  5. Select the Transaction type and the Invoice to display the relevant invoices along with their tax details.

Please let me know in the comments below if you have follow-up questions. We'll be glad to help you.
