Question

Can I delete repopulated and saved products and services that I no longer need for my invoicing?

I sometimes only use a task once for invoicing, which means that I have many many tasks that just linger in my pre-populated list and I have to go through many options to find what I need. It would be nice to use a billing product or service once and then either have the option not to save it, or to be able to delete it.

Hi there, Jamie. I completely understand your desire to have more control over the list of previously used products and services in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE). Unfortunately, QBSE doesn't include a way to delete or manage those saved product and service names. The system automatically populates the list based on what has been used in prior invoices, and the feature to remove them isn't currently available.

For greater control over your business features, QuickBooks Online (QBO) is a good choice. It includes a "Products and Services List" to manage items efficiently and keep your invoices organized. QBO also offers advanced features such as enhanced reporting, inventory tracking, and recurring transactions that are not available in QBSE.
