Question

Can I turn off the "do you want to prefill" popup? It causes me to make incessant errors because pops up at times when another routine popup warning occurs?

when adding in attachments to reconciled entries, there is always a warning about messing up the reconciliation which I always say yes to. However when I also add in the payee info, it pops up with the do you wan to prefill, to which the answer is always no, but since it looks like the other one i often inadvertently click on yes.

Thank you for sharing the details of your workflow, Edells. I understand how the pop-ups affect your ability to complete tasks in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

You can turn off the Do you want to prefill? Pop-up by disabling the Auto-Recall feature.

Here’s how:

  1. Click the Gear icon.
  2. Under the Your Company section, select Account and Settings.
  3. Open the Advanced tab.
  4. Scroll down to the Automation section.
  5. Click the pencil icon to disable the option for Pre-fill forms with previously entered content.

Turning off this setting won’t impact the warning you see when editing a reconciled transaction (the one you always select Yes for). That warning helps ensure the accuracy of your reconciled records is maintained.
