Hanging session keeps me from making changes

Every time I try to turn on the account numbers in chart of accounts it tells me that I was already signed on and changed it first.  I must have a session that is hung up.  

 

SO frustrating that I can't get help in the evening because I am doing this as a volunteer on my own time.

 

I'm ready to cancel and ask for my money back

I hear you, Geoff. I can see how frustrating it is when you're donating your own time to help someone out, but the tool won't cooperate.

 

To help sort this out, try logging out completely and then signing back in using a totally fresh browser window. This step resets the connection before you enable those account numbers in your Chart of Accounts. Additionally, using another browser can also help keep things running smoothly and prevent these hiccups.

 

Moreover, to detect if you have other QuickBooks sessions hung up, sign in to your Intuit Account Manager, navigate to the Sign in & security menu, and scroll down to the Account activity. If you see an additional active session, click the drop-down arrow beside it and select End session.
