How can I reduce white space and see more on screen in QuickBooks Online?

Is there a way to condense the information on the screen. There is so much wasted space! It is difficult to get things done on a laptop.

Reducing white space in QuickBooks Online

There's one screen where you can control this directly: the Chart of Accounts.

Go to Transactions, then Chart of accounts.
Select the Gear icon above the list.
Under Table density, choose Compact.

This tightens up the spacing so you can see more accounts without scrolling as much.

Reports and other screens

Outside the Chart of Accounts, the layout of reports, including the Profit and Loss, and other screens is fixed by design, so there's no built-in setting to reduce the menu bars or white space there. If this is getting in your way, send feedback directly:

Select the Gear icon.
Select Feedback.
Enter your comments, then select Next.

Feedback like this goes to the product team to consider for future updates.

For example, the P&L report screen has 5 menu bars and white space in between. By the time I get to the income line, I can only see 10 lines, at the most. I have to keep scrolling. All the applications in QB require a lot of scrolling to see what I need.

2/3 of the screen is used for menu bars, search, etc. etc. separated by a lot of white space.

I don't need a pretty user interface. I need an efficient interface. This is even more a problem with the "beta" reports. They are prettier, not more useful.

Here is an example of waisted vertical space. I need to be able to see more accounts on this screen rather that is wasted real estate indicated here in red.

I’m here to help you view more accounts on your Chart of Accounts screen in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @Chris2710.

You can compress the account's list by modifying the settings of the Chart of accounts page.

Go to Transactions and select Chart of accounts.
Click the Gear icon and choose Compact in the Table Density section.

Moreover, please note that adjustments to the Chart of Accounts layout are fixed by design. That said, I recommend submitting your feedback about its layout to our product engineering team for them to analyze and consider adding this for future updates.

Go to the Gear icon and select Feedback.
Enter your comments or product suggestions.
Tap Next to submit.

Additionally, ensure to reconcile your accounts to make them accurate and up-to-date.
