how can I unreconcile a month in quickbooks online

I need to unreconcile Dec 2024 for my bank account to fix something so it will reconcile correctly

You can either manually undo a reconciled statement or request your accountant to reverse the entire reconciliation, @hisgracepropertiesllc.

To start, please note that you can only un-reconcile one transaction at a time. If you need to redo the entire period, I recommend reaching out to your accountant. They can reverse the full reconciliation at once using QuickBooks Online Accountant.

Here's how to invite your accountant:

Navigate to the Settings and select Manage Users.
Go to the Accounting firms tab and click the Invite button.
Enter your accountant's contact information.
Click Save.
Let your accountant undo the entire reconciliation.

If you want to manually undo a reconciled statement, follow these steps:

Go to the Gear icon and select Chart of Accounts.
Locate and choose the account you’re working on, and click on View Register.
Select the transactions you want to unreconcile.
Keep on clicking the R status until it shows blank or cleared (C).
Click Save to update the changes.
Confirm your selection by clicking Yes.
