@rafael-bvhandy-c  As far as I am aware, you do not.

Get ready for the QuickBooks staff to come in and tell you to close it (temporarily) by clicking X, though.

The pop-up notifications are designed to suggest and guide you on how to improve your QuickBooks experience. I understand that the ads may affect your navigation, jscottcarr.

Thus, removing this is currently unavailable. However, we can dismiss the ads by clicking the X or the No, thanks to button.

Additionally, you can use a pop-up blocker extension to effectively manage pop-ups in QuickBooks, improving your interface and navigation experience.

For Google Chrome and Mozilla browsers, here's how:

  1. Click the Lock icon to the left of the address bar.
  2. Select Site Settings (Google Chrome) or Permission for this site (Mozilla browser).
  3. Hover to the Pop-ups and Redirects section, and select Block from the drop-down menu.

For Safari browser:

  1. Open a Safari browser.
  2. Click Safari, then Preferences.
  3. Select Websites at the top.
  4. Click Pop-up Windows on the left sidebar.
  5. Then select Block in the pop-up menu for the website.

While the option is not yet available, I recommend you also send this feedback directly to our product engineers. This way, they will be notified of the features that benefit customers and their businesses.

Here’s how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Feedback.
  3. Enter a brief description of your product suggestion.
  4. Click Next to submit feedback.

@LeizylM  RE: The pop-up notifications are designed to suggest and guide you on how to improve your QuickBooks experience.

The design is a failure.

There isn't a single in-product switch that removes every ad in QuickBooks Online, but you can cut them down meaningfully. The most effective step is to turn off Personalized Ads in your Intuit account, which stops the targeted product promotions; from there you can dismiss anything that still appears and tell the product team you want a full off-switch.

Turn off Personalized Ads (the biggest lever)

  1. Sign in to your Intuit account preferences at accounts.intuit.com/app/account-manager/preferences.
  2. Scroll to the Personalized Ads section.
  3. Turn off Intuit Products and Services and Third-Party Products and Services.

This turns off personalized ad targeting tied to your account. You may still occasionally see general feature messages, but the tailored product and offer ads are what this setting addresses.

Dismiss the ones that still appear

When a promo or pop-up shows up, select the X or No thanks to close it. QuickBooks remembers that choice for that specific message, so dismissing them as they come reduces repeats over time.

Check your Intuit marketing preferences

This is separate from the in-product banners, but if you also want to cut down on marketing emails and calls from Intuit, go to Settings (the gear icon), then Account and settings, then the Company tab, and review your marketing preferences there.

Ask for a full off-switch through Feedback

A single setting to turn off all in-product ads isn't available today, and the way that changes is through customer feedback going to the product team:

  1. Select Settings (the gear icon).
  2. Under Profile, select Feedback.
  3. Describe that you'd like an option to turn off in-product ads, then select Next to submit.

A note on browser pop-up blockers: these particular ads are built into the QuickBooks page itself rather than opened as separate browser pop-up windows, so a standard browser pop-up blocker generally won't stop them. The Personalized Ads setting above is the more reliable route.
