Could you share a screenshot of what you're currently seeing? This will help us get a clearer picture of the situation and avoid going in circles with the same steps.

In the meantime, try using a different browser to see if the Expenses button appears there.

Looking forward to your reply so we can assist you further!

I’m using the mobile version for quick on the go submissions, but unfortunately the EXPENSE option is nowhere to be found anymore. I’ve tried all the fixes, and there is no way for me to upload a picture. Can you show me where your Expense button is?

It won’t allow me to upload a picture, however wherever you see your expense button, mine is not there. I chose menu and it not there either. I used all the “fixes” and they didn’t work.

Could you clarify if you are using the QuickBooks mobile app or the web browser version? This will help us assist you more effectively.

If you are using the mobile app, start by uninstalling and reinstalling it. Then, log back in to refresh the connection.

If issues persist, clear the app data using these steps:

For iOS:

  1. Open Settings and tap General.
  2. Select iPhone Storage.
  3. Choose QuickBooks Online.
  4. Tap the Offload App to clear data without losing your documents.

For Android:

  1. Tap the Menu icon (☰).
  2. Select More Options (⋮).
  3. Choose Settings.
  4. Tap Refresh Data.
  5. Select YES to confirm.

If you are using the web version, you can import expense transactions using the Import Data feature:

  1. Click the Gear icon and select Import Data.
  2. Choose Bank Data from the Select record type dropdown menu.
  3. Click Import.

After importing, categorize your transactions by following these steps:

  1. Select Transactions from the left menu.
  2. Find the transaction and click the Pencil icon.
  3. Choose Expense from the Type menu.
  4. Click Save.

Alternatively, you can create an expense manually:

  1. Select Transactions from the left menu.
  2. Click New transaction.
  3. Select Expense from the Type menu.
  4. Click Save.
