I am using QB online & where do I find backup? QB says they back up everything but I want to be able to do it myself.

Hi, Thomas4637. You’re correct that QuickBooks Online (QBO) automatically backs up your company data. These backups are ongoing and can be turned on or off anytime in the Settings.

However, since you prefer to do it manually, you have the option to run a manual backup if you're using a QuickBooks Online Advanced subscription. Here's how you can do it:

1. Go to Settings ⚙.
2. Select Back up company.
3. Click Run manual Backup.
4. Choose the type of backup you need, then select Back up.

This allows you to back up your company data on your own schedule, ensuring you have control over the process. Keep in mind, though, that there are certain data types that cannot be backed up or restored.

If you don't want to upgrade to QBO Advanced, you can convert data to QB Desktop as backup files. You can use the trial version to open the file later.
