I've got you covered on how to add credit card information to your new customer in QuickBooks Online (QBO), andreabenferlloy.
We can log in to your account using an incognito browser. Private browser prevents saving cache and cookies that sometimes cause errors when adding credit card information to a new customer. Here are the useful shortcut keys you can use to access one:
Ctrl+ Shift + N for Google Chrome
Ctrl + Shift + P for Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge
Command + Shift + N for Safari
Once done, add the customer's credit card information using a browser to get this task done. I’ll show you how:
Go to Sales on the left pane.
Click the Customers tab, then locate and select your customer.
Tap Edit.
In the Customer Information window, go to the Payments and billing section.
Select Credit Card from the Preferred payment method drop-down menu.
Enter the needed information and click OK when done.
If it works, return to your default browser andclear its cache. Every so often the cache becomes overwhelmed with older data which can potentially cause viewing and performance issues. Clearing it will refresh the system, and you'll be able to work with a clean slate. Switching to another compatible one to help rectify the issue.

That's it! Please let me know how it goes or if I can be of additional help. I'd be glad to answer should you have any follow-up questions. Take care always.
I appreciate you performing the steps recommended by my colleague, Andrea.
I'm here to help you further identify what's causing the problem of entering Credit Card (CC) info in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
May I kindly inquire about the specific error you've encountered when entering the customer's CC information?
It's possible that the credit card info you've added encountered a failed verification process. The software's system usually temporarily blocks storing credit card info if this happens. However, it'll be automatically removed from being blocked after 48 hours. For now, you can consider temporarily changing the customer's payment method and changing it back to CC to enter the CC info.
