Question

I Don't understand why some expense categories that exist in my desktop QuickBooks online do not appear in my QuickBooks Android app. Do others experience this?

I see this occur in both expense categories and payment accounts. I've also tried to refresh and resync my data, to no avail.

Hi Accounting669, thank you for sharing your experience. Allow me to shed some light on how QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks work differently.

The QuickBooks Android app is designed to simplify managing finances on the go, but it has limited features compared to the desktop platform. Because of this, certain categories or payment account details might not appear in the app even though they exist on the desktop version. This isn't an issue with your data but rather how the two platforms are designed to work.

I understand that you’ve already tried refreshing and resyncing, which can often resolve issues. However, for more detailed tasks such as managing expense categories and payment accounts, the desktop version is likely to provide the complete functionality you need.
