I gave my accountant access to my QB Online. Can they use this access to steal from me?

Hi there, JCBrunache. Inviting your accountant to manage your books and accounts doesn't give them the ability to steal money from you through QuickBooks Online.

When you give your accountant access, they can help review your books, correct errors, reconcile accounts, and help with tax preparation. However, this access doesn’t let them move money, withdraw funds, or access your bank account unless you’ve shared your banking information with them.

To learn more about the tools your accountant can use, please visit this article: Use accountant tools and features.

To ensure safety, only provide access to trusted accountants and regularly review their activities through the audit log. This way, you can check all user actions, allowing you to identify any unusual activity.
