I just made a journal entry for August 31 and it isn't showing up in the list of JEs. It does show up in the GL account it was created for. Why can't I find it

Since the journal entry shows in the GL account, this means you successfully saved the entry. The most common reason it's not appearing in the list of journal entries is the date filter.

Here's how to fix it:

1. Go to Reports on the left-hand menu.
   
   
2. In the search bar at the top of the Reports page, type Journal and click the Journal report when it appears.
   
   
   
   
3. Check the date range at the top of the list. It's likely set to a period that doesn't include August 31.
   
   
   
   
4. Change the date range to All Dates or a custom range.
