If you have e-filed your 1099s through QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Contractor Payments, or QuickBooks Online Payroll, you may receive an email stating that the IRS has not accepted your e-filings. This could be due to errors in your company's legal name, Employer Identification Number (EIN), or Social Security number (SSN), or because one or more contractor addresses are incorrect. To fix these errors and resubmit your 1099s, you must void the original forms, update any incorrect information, and then e-file the forms again.
Moreover, if the status of your 1099 form is "Accepted," you will need to file an amendment form in QBO. However, there are currently no official instructions on how to file an amended form.
