i want to start paying some invoices by debit card connected to my bank account in Qbks. Do i need to link the debit card or will it automatically debit my bank account?

Hi, millicent.

 

You can use the QuickBooks Bill Pay feature in QuickBooks Online (QBO) to pay your bills using your debit card that is connected to your bank account.

 

Additionally, you don’t need to link your debit card separately. Instead, when setting up Bill Pay, you’ll select the bank account associated with your debit card.

 

Funds will be automatically debited from your account once the payment is scheduled, reviewed, and approved for security purposes. Please note that payments are not processed instantly, as they require prior scheduling.

 

Here's how to activate your QuickBooks Bill Pay:

 

  1. Go to the All apps menu and select Expenses & Bills.
  2. Select Bills, then click Schedule payment from any of your unpaid bills.
  3. Select the best plan that’s right for your business: Basic (included with your QuickBooks Online subscription), Premium, or Elite.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions.
  5. Review your selections, and hit Finish setup.
  6. Click Subscribe to confirm your subscription payment method.

Another option, you can use a 3rd party app for free to sync with QBO, pay your bills with debit cards and get cashbacks.
